Subject: Fremantle Foundation Newsletter - June 2022

Dear ,

Welcome to our June newsletter.

With EOFY upon us, the Fremantle Foundation is proud to be sharing some fantastic achievements, made possible due to our generous donors and incredible community. We are delighted to have distributed 75 grants, totalling a record amount of $1 million in funding distributed this financial year. This funding has been distributed to local not-for-profits as well as some outside of WA across seven focus areas: Health & Wellbeing, Homelessness, Indigenous Australians, Arts & Culture, Education, Environment and Family & Community. Through the continued support of our donors, these organisations will keep on thriving and fostering a better community for all.

The Hakea Fund and CARAD

This month we want to highlight how the Hakea Fund, held with the Fremantle Foundation, has made a difference for CARAD. As part of their Client Services Program, CARAD provides emergency relief support to people seeking asylum who are experiencing financial hardship. Generous contributions from the Hakea Fund has helped CARAD to continue supporting their clients through hardships.

"We are sincerely thankful to CARAD for helping us through our hard times of accommodation, food and rent. Your support [has] given us so much hope & positivity. Thank you team, all of you are doing great work for people like us." - CARAD Client Family

We look forward to seeing more of the wonderful work CARAD achieves in the future.

AFL Rams Community Support Fund - Donor Impact

Established in the wake of Cyclone Seroja by a group of ex and current AFL players from Northampton, the AFL Rams Community Support Fund, held with the Fremantle Foundation, assisted in hosting the first ever WAFL game in Northampton, with the aim of making an enjoyable day for everyone and raising some funds to be donated to the community. Between 3000 - 4000 people were at the ground on game day (see image below) and the AFL Rams were successful in raising $100,000 which will help their efforts to continue to support the Northampton community.

Impact100 Fremantle

In case you've missed it, Impact100 Fremantle has officially launched for 2022! And this year we are celebrating 10 years of this wonderful and innovative way of giving. By bringing together 100 community members, who donate $1000 each, a game-changing grant of $100,000 is awarded to a local not-for-profit.
